Contacts and trust
A contact is a customer, supplier or prospect that MCS has recognised as the sender of a message. Contacts are made automatically: the first time MCS recognises a sender whose email passed authentication, Rent Stream AI makes a contact for that MCS account. Its name and depot follow MCS.
MCS always says who someone is. The contact in Rent Stream AI holds what MCS does not.
The Contacts screen
Search by name, email or domain, and filter by type (Supplier, Customer, Prospect, Not known yet) and status (To confirm, Confirmed, Blocked). Select a contact to open it:

Mail from a blocked contact always waits for a person.
Trust
Trust is earned per contact and per workflow. With the A person approves step set to "until trusted":
- A contact starts as Checked by a person.
- Each approval adds one to their count.
- After 3 approvals in a row, they become Trusted. Their work items on that workflow can then go straight through, as long as every check passes.
- A rejection puts them back to zero.
Remembered values and changed bank details
An "Unchanged since last seen" check compares a value, such as bank details, with the one a person accepted for this contact. The first value ever seen becomes the accepted one.
If a supplier's invoice arrives with different bank details:
- the check fails, and because it is a security check, the work item always goes to a person;
- the contact shows the new value as "Changed, waiting for someone to accept it";
- only people allowed to accept changed bank details can select Accept.
If the sender's email did not pass authentication, the check always fails.
